Simply spectacular, large, fully restored antique cast iron fire surround from the Edwardian period. Reclaimed from a period property near Glasgow Scotland, it was cast from C1903  and is a stunning piece of architectural history.
Fully functioning and beautifully preserved, it is a striking yet simple surround. It is tastefully proportioned with delightful scrolls, and floral design around the opening. It retains its original, well proportioned wooden mantle shelf.
With no rear projection, it is perfect to go over an existing chimney breast opening or against a flat wall.
A classic antique period piece, this surround has been professionally stripped, cleaned, protective coated with a light grey primer, then finished off with traditional black grate polish.  The finished result looks spectacular.
As with most period fireplaces of this type, the simplicity of design and quality of the ironwork is what makes it so attractive. It will bring unique and rare charm to your property.
There are discreet mounting lugs on the outer body for simple and safe installation.

Rear projection of the whole thing is 0cm, making it a great choice for fitting either against a flat wall, over an insert or over an existing opening.
