Early Victorian Hob Grate

19th Century Victorian original cast iron fire insert. Fully restored original Victorian hob grate painted/coated in stove  black and lightly buffed to give a gunmetal sheen,
A rare original item with stunning features, it would look exceptional in any home.
This fireplace was reclaimed from a period property in Cheltenham.
During restoration we have sand blasted, wire brushed, and blackened, replaced the fire grate, and added three fire bricks. This makes this old insert more efficient by directing the heat forward.
The finished result looks stunning. It's now perfect for many more open fires for years to come.

External - Height 38 inches, Width 38 inches, Depth 10 inches
Internal at rear - Height 34 inches x 31 inches Width (for chimney opening)
