Edwardian tiled insert C1905

RESTORED ANTIQUE EDWARDIAN C1905  TILED CAST IRON FIRE INSERT.
Exquisite, for sale is this beautiful, restored antique cast iron fireplace, from a Manchester period property from the late Edwardian period.
Carrying authentic foundry marks, it was cast between 1903- 1905. It is a wonderful example of British architectural heritage which would typically have taken pride of place in a downstairs room or large bedroom. Generously proportioned, it is made of solid cast iron with two runs of tube line tiles, in lovely condition.
The ironwork is rich with  floral detail and a beautiful floral canopy. Similar decorative ironwork continues around the tiles.
During restoration we retained the original back and replaced the fire stone..The grate and bars ,ash pan cover are original.  The final result looks superb.
We have finished the item with black grate polish which gives it a gunmetal appearance and highlights the ornamentation of the cast iron.

All restoration has been undertaken by Duncan Reddy Manchester, a Specialist in Architectural salvage for over 35 years. There are a couple of old repairs on the back of the fireplace ( invisible from the front) these are still very secure and will not affect having an open fire in the future.
Collection and delivery:
We will securely courier the item to most parts of the U.K. but please check with us if you live in a remote location such as the Scottish Highlands or Channel Islands.
For deliveries, we ensure all of our restored fireplaces are protective wrapped and delivered by our trusted courier, who takes great care with each item. The drivers will carry your fireplace into your home.
If you are local to us, your item can be collected in person from our home workshop in Poynton, Cheshire (SK12 postcode). We will assist you where possible in loading
