An Arts and Crafts cast iron fireplace with simple heart detail to the top and a subtle sweeping mantelpiece gradually growing deeper to the center
Exquisite, for sale is this beautiful, restored antique cast iron fireplace, from a Manchester period property from the Edwardian period.
Carrying authentic foundry marks, it was cast between 1905 - 1910. It is a wonderful example of British architectural heritage which would typically have taken pride of place in a downstairs room or bedroom. Generously proportioned, it is made of solid cast iron in lovely condition, with all its original parts.
During restoration we retained the original fire stone, and grate and bars. matching ash cover, flue damper.The final result looks superb.
It has discreet mounting lugs on the top of the body for simple and safe installation with a couple of strong screws.

102cm high (bottom to top of mantle)
73cm wide at mantle
11cm deep at mantle (15cn in the middle)
54cm wide at body, ( 60cm at the bottom)
Inner void 60cm high

In order to fit into your chimney breast the hole in your wall needs to be at least 40cm wide, 66cm high and 15cm deep.
All restoration has been undertaken by Duncan Reddy Manchester, a Specialist in Architectural salvage for over 35 years.
Collection and delivery:
We will securely courier the item to most parts of the U.K. but please check with us if you live in a remote location such as the Scottish Highlands or Channel Islands.
For deliveries, we ensure all of our restored fireplaces are protective wrapped and delivered by our trusted courier, who takes great care with each item. The drivers will carry your fireplace into your home.
If you are local to us, your item can be collected in person from our home workshop in Poynton, Cheshire (SK12 postcode). We will assist you where possible in loading
