"The Prince" Combination Fireplace
"The Prince"
Gorgeous, for sale is this gently restored antique cast iron fireplace, from a period property from the late Victorian period.
Carrying authentic foundry marks, this is a classic piece which has been restored for functional use.
It was cast between 1890-1900 and carries authentic foundry marks. It is a wonderful example of British architectural heritage which would typically have taken pride of place in a downstairs room / study or bedroom. Well proportioned, it is made of heavy, solid cast iron.
The ironwork is rich with floral detail and a beautiful series of emblems and panels. The decorative ironwork around the body and interior is richly detailed. It is finished off with a gorgeous relief over the opening.
During restoration we retained the original mantle, grate, bars, fire stone, and flue damper. The final result looks superb and will add immense charm and character to your home
The item has been sand blasted, wire brushed, and sealed with traditional black grate polish, to give it a protective coating.
It has discreet mounting lugs on the side of the body for simple and safe installation.

97cm high (bottom to top of mantle)
89cm wide at mantle
16cm deep at mantle
79cm wide at body, widening to 83cm at lugs
